      Currently the Art in World Cultures course will BEGIN ON 4/22/2024. If you purchase this course today you will gain access to start the course on 4/22/2024. On or after 4/22/2024 Art in World Cultures will return to a rolling enrollment which includes start dates of every business day. 

      In this course, students will examine what art is, the elements and principles of art, and the different mediums used in the artwork. They will explore different types of art, including: Prehistoric, Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Medieval, Renaissance, and Early Christian art. Students will also explore the history, artwork, and artists from Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Oceania. They will analyze how historical events, civilizations, and cultures influence art. Students will also explore the importance of critiquing, preserving, and curating art.
