When you are registered for a class, you will receive an email by Monday morning with login instructions. If you do not see this email, you should:

1. Check your spam folder
2. If our email is there, please mark our email as "not spam" so future emails show up in your inbox

Our complete school offering is entirely web-based and supports most major operating systems and web browsers. Our recommendations are as follows:

Minimum hardware specifications that support the software and systems defined above is also required. Most modern computer hardware, manufactured from approximately 2001 or later, should be sufficient.

You have six months from the day you register to finish your course. However, each quarter-credit course is designed to take only 25-30 hours. There is no minimum time limit, so you could start a course on Monday and finish by Friday!

The American Academy welcomes students of all ages and locations! Whether you need courses, credits, or a diploma, we have a program that's just right for you.

They are proctored by a licensed teacher or other public professional. You find the person, we verify that they are eligible to be a proctor.

The American Academy provides 24/7 access to online curriculum, licensed teachers, and upon completion of a course a completion certificate and access to a transcript from our accredited program. You provide the same safe, supportive environment, a computer, and an internet connection. Students work through courses at their own pace; teachers evaluate their work and provide feedback and encouragement. The American Academy will send course completion certificates upon completion of each course and will maintain an official transcript that is recognized by colleges, universities, and employers world-wide.

We offer three homeschool programs: the College-Prep Program, the Career-Prep Program, and a Custom Program. The College Prep program includes all the courses your child needs to be eligible for admission to a four-year college or university. The Career-Prep Program prepares your child to attend a career college or trade school or enter employment. In the Custom Program, we help tailor a program to your child's needs and interests. To earn a diploma from The American Academy, your child will need to complete a minimum* of 20.0 credits. Students who are interested in attending four-year colleges and universities are advised to earn 23.0 credits.

Yes. We want you to be happy with your purchase, but of course you have 10 days from your date of purchase to request a refund. Please call us at 1-866-689-1932 to request a refund.

If your request is received within the 10 day policy, The American Academy will refund your entire purchase, less any amounts paid for materials shipped to you. We do not accept refunds on materials.
