 The American Academy is proud to offer a range of courses that satisfy the Navajo Nation’s Chief Manuelito Scholarship requirements. Our Chief Manuelito classes cover the Navajo government and language, helping high school students qualify for this prestigious honor. High school graduates and certain undergraduates who are selected receive $7,000 per academic year to cover direct educational expenses while attending a post-secondary institution. Our Chief Manuelito courses help those who may not have access to classes that teach them about their Navajo heritage. Through our instruction, students will learn the basics of the nation’s governance as well as become more fluent in the language.
