  • Course Description

      In this high school digital photography class, students will discover the history of photography, practice the basics of photography, and identify different techniques used in the field. They will explore how cameras work, and how to use their phone’s camera. Students will identify and demonstrate the elements and principles of design used in photography. They will also explain their responsibilities as a photographer and copyright laws, explore the safe handling equipment in photography, and practice to prepare for a career in the field of photography. Students will learn about careers, education, business practices, and creating portfolios in photography. They will learn basic and advanced editing techniques. Students will demonstrate progress in the course through discussions and creating their own artwork. Please download a copy of the syllabus for a full course description. Students can take one online digital photography class or more individually or complete a full diploma program. You can also enroll in these courses during the summer. -
