Description:
The purpose of this course is to achieve basic scientific literacy in chemistry. The Utah State Science Core Curriculum, which is based on Project 2061's Benchmarks For Science Literacy and The National Science Education Standards, was used as a guide to determine appropriate content and process skills for students.

Graduation Requirement:
This course can be used toward the Science or Electives requirement for diploma-seeking students.
